Red brick, white trim and tall chimneys carrying a flue for nearly every fireplace. New Albany's Georgian homes are built around their masonry, and it deserves care that matches. We sweep every flue, repair brick so it blends with the original, keep summer rain and humidity out, and answer your call whenever trouble shows up, even at 3 AM.

Yes. Our line is answered around the clock, every day of the year. If smoke is backing up, water is coming through the ceiling, or a raccoon is stuck behind the damper, we send someone out right away.
In central Ohio, almost always chimney swifts. They're protected by federal law, so active nests can't be removed. Keep the damper closed, and once they migrate in early fall we'll sweep the flue and install a cap.
Humidity reacts with creosote in the flue, and air pulled down the chimney carries the odor inside. A sweep, a top-sealing damper and a cap usually clear it up.
That's a big part of what we do. We source brick close in size, color and texture, tint the mortar and match the joint profile so repairs blend with the original masonry.
That chalky bloom is efflorescence, mineral deposits carried to the surface by moisture inside the masonry. It tells you water is getting in somewhere, most often at the crown, cap or flashing. Fix the source and the residue can be cleaned off.
Usually with a properly sized cap, a sound crown with an overhang, and good flashing. A breathable water repellent on the brick adds another layer.
